What it does

Runs on macOS 13.0 or later on Apple Silicon, Windows 10 (22H2) or later, Linux with glibc 2.35 or later. The app updates itself.

How to install Vidova

macOS

  1. Open the .dmg and drag Vidova to Applications.
  2. Open Vidova and choose Start recording.
  3. Allow Screen Recording when macOS asks, then reopen the app if it says so.

Windows

  1. Run the installer you downloaded.
  2. Open Vidova from the Start menu and choose Start recording.
  3. Not sure which one? Intel / AMD fits almost every PC.

Linux

  1. Install the package with sudo apt install ./vidova_*.deb.
  2. Or make the AppImage runnable with chmod +x Vidova-*.AppImage, then open it.
  3. X11 and Wayland are both supported.

Which Windows download do I need?

Pick Windows (Intel / AMD) for almost every PC. Pick Windows (ARM) only for an ARM laptop, such as one with a Snapdragon X chip.

Is there a Mac version for Intel Macs?

The desktop app is built for Apple Silicon Macs. On an Intel Mac, use the Vidova CLI, which runs on both, or the editor in the browser at vidova.ai.
